Morgan Lander was born on January 6, 1982. She chose to begin guitar lessons in lieu of the piano at age eight. She joined the group when her sister Mercedes began playing in the Lander basement with Fallon. The group eventually chose her to be the singer for the group. Morgan reluctantly agreed, having to work on her vocal skills constantly.
Morgan is the oldest member of Kittie and has taken on somewhat of a motherly role. She does most of the speaking during interviews and is the most confident in taking charge. She has been labeled as the loud one, always growling or screaming, yet she knows what to do when it comes to the inner workings of Kittie.
Fallon Bowman was born on November 16, 1983 in South Africa. She later moved to London, Ontario, Canada where she and Mercedes Lander became the founding members of Kittie. She met Mercedes in a gym class, and they discovered a shared interest in music. Fallon went over and began playing with Mercedes in the Lander basement.
Fallon is the sassy one of the group. She wears a necklace which says simply 'DEVIL.' She claims it is because she is sweet on the outside, but a devil on the inside.
Mercedes Lander was born on January 25, 1984. She met Fallon in a gym class, and they discovered that they liked the same styles of music. Fallon later came over and played with Mercedes in the Lander basement. Mercedes's sister later came down to join the duet, and Kittie was born.
Mercedes calls herself the weird one of the group, a self-proclaimed exhibitionist. But being a founding member, and sister to the lead singer of the band, Mercedes seems to take well to the leadership role.
Talena Atfield was born on January 14, 1983. She was an avid supporter of the group from the very beginning, and when Tanya, the original bassist, left the band, Talena switched from guitar to bass to play with Kittie. She had only two weeks to learn all of the group's songs before touring began, but she did not disappoint.
Talena is probably the shyest one of the group, rarely speaking during interviews. This is slightly ironic, seeing as she is the object of many obsessions and fixations. While she does not carry on the blow-up doll emasculation traditions of the previous bassist, she still reigns supreme as the most desired member of Kittie.
